Artist Name: Amy Crook-Larson
What is your favorite part about pottery?: People are the best part of pottery. I've had the pleasure of meeting individuals from all walks of life, willing to share their ideas and resources. It has been a pleasure creating with them.
Tell us about yourself and your pottery journey: I spent my childhood in the shadows of Wyoming’s Wind River Range. My mother was a botanist, and nature was as an everyday part of life. I developed a curiosity that fostered days of exploration in the mountains. My mother’s garden was also a special experience. Each year, I waited with great anticipation for the giant orange poppies and bleeding hearts to bloom. My art is a journey back to those childhood experiences. I enjoy creating sculptures for practical purpose or those that reflect the Creator’s natural wonders.
