What is your favorite part about pottery?: I enjoy the creative process. I don't like getting in a rut and doing the same thing over and over again. In taking what I know and tweaking it to create something new, I find my inspiration to keep my work fresh.

Tell us about yourself and your pottery journey: About 47 years ago, a friend introduced me to pottery and it became my obsession. I had my own little studio and created mostly functional ware for 10 years. Then life changed and several moves, pottery went by the wayside. I went back to school, got my RN and worked as an Oncology nurse for the next 30 years. I never thought I would throw a pot again until about 15 years ago when I found Bicentennial Art Center and have once again been creating with mud. Since retirement 8 years ago, I have more time to have fun with clay. I sell my work twice a year at the Aurora Potters' Guild sales.
